Hacking For Hachette
Having visited every football league ground in Scotland (Hunting Grounds: A Football Safari) and followed it up with a tour of Scottish festivals - Great Balls of Fire (to be published in August by Birlinn), Gary Sutherland is now hacking his way around 18 of Scotland’s most remote golf courses.
Bob McDevitt at Hachette Scotland has bought the provisionally entitled Fairway Isles from Stan. Not focussing solely on golf, the book is also about Gary’s father; as well as the beauty, and sometimes inhospitable landscape, of Scotland’s islands.
