Jock The Ripper?
Simon & Schuster has bought world rights in a serial killer thriller featuring a murderer dubbed – by the Scottish press – as “Jock the Ripper”. Senior fiction editor Kate Lyall-Grant bought rights for a “healthy five-figure sum” from Stan after an auction.
Random, by journalist Craig Robertson, will be published in trade paperback in April 2010. The book follows the exploits of a seemingly psychotic killer whose murders leave police baffled. Nothing seems to connect the murders … but the killer does have a chilling ultimate purpose.
