Aidan Smith
Born and brought up in Edinburgh, a journalist since leaving school, Aidan Smith started out as an ambulance-chasing cub-reporter for the Dalkeith Advertiser, moved on to the Edinburgh Evening News, then Scotland’s biggest selling paper the Daily Record and back to Edinburgh six years ago with The Scotsman.
Since 2004 he has been Senior Feature Writer at Scotland On Sunday, while continuing to write a weekly (Hibs-dominated) football column for The Scotsman. In the most recent Bank of Scotland Press Awards, he was nominated for Arts and Entertainment Writer of the Year.
