Bill Mutch
The film rights to Bill Mutch’s first novel, Steal Me a Duchess (Woodmarch, 2001) have been optioned. He is currently working on a series of thrillers set in the Borders in the 1950s provisionally entitled The Melrose Mysteries.
The author served in the Colonial Forest Service in Nigeria, and has worked at the Universities of Oxford and Edinburgh, and as a consultant to overseas governments on natural resource management, especially tropical forestry. He has wriiten a management guide for the owners of small woodlands, Tall Trees and Small Woods (Mainstream, 1998). He lives in Kinross-shire, Scotland.
