Imperial Obsessions: Churchill, D-Day and Stalin’s Secret Talks with Hitler
World War Two is the decisive conflict of the twentieth century; a conflict which shaped Britain’s national identity. It was the era when Britain stood alone against Nazi tyranny, liberated Europe from dictatorship and wholeheartedly supported Overlord.
Sadly, many of these ‘facts’ are inspiring but misleading myths which offer a false account of Britain’s role in WWII and its contribution to the defeat of fascism. Imperial Obsession challenges these myths and presents a new and searingly honest account of WWII. By placing ‘Empire’ at the heart of its analysis, Imperial Obsession presents a ‘hidden history’ of WWII.
