Me & Miss Messiah

A mesmerising road novel from an astonishing new talent.

Me & Miss Messiah is a road movie sans celluloid. A black comedy with American white trash. A nightmare of hitching, killing and the lust for fame; transsexual bank robbers, suicide pacts, ranting right-wing racists and born again con-men preachers.

It’s a novel that manages to combine the effortless grit of Bukowski’s best poetry with a dash of Annie Proulx’s emotional sensitivity; that has a plot akin to ‘Natural Born Killers’ and the energetic satire of Vernon God Little.

In short, it’s a tour de force.
